Bottazzi Guillaume

Guillaume Bottazzi is a French visual artist internationally renowned for his monumental, site-specific creations that reimagine the relationship between art, space, and human perception. He has been working for more than 33 years, particularly in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Recognized as a pioneer of the neuroaesthetics applied movement, he has signed more than 180 permanent artworks for public spaces. He has received private and public commissions from museums such as the Mori Art Museum, the Miyanomori International Art Museum, the Suntory Museum of Art, the Tokyo National Art Center and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation of History and Culture; from cities and public institutions, such as Tokyo, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Paris La Défense, Nice and Brussels; from ministries such as the Ministry of Culture, of Education, and of Health; from investors such as Sofitel, Mori Building Co. Ltd, BNP Paribas, Société Générale, Nexity… He also collaborates with renowned architects, such as Valode & Pistre, Kanji Ueki, ORY.architecture, Leclercq associés, Tom Sheehan, Coldefy, Antony Béchu, Valero Gadan, Badia Berger… Since 2004, Guillaume Bottazzi has been represented by Itsutsuji Gallery. This major Japanese gallery represents artists such as Yves Klein, Simon Hantaï, Pierre Soulages, Yayoi Kusama, but also introduced movement such as Support-Surfaces. In 2016 he was a guest in Hong Kong for a solo show in a 565m² space supported by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong in partnership with the government of Hong Kong. This exhibition got 1,7 million visitors. In 2024, he created a 150 m² polyptych in Paris La Défense, labeled for the Cultural Olympiad. Guillaume Bottazzi has set up in Brussels his own House of Creation. The designer collaborates with teams of craftsmen, glassmakers and technicians. His heritage works, indoor or outdoor are sold to CAC 40 companies. Guillaume Bottazzi has an approach that links art, perception and well-being.
