A mixed-discipline consultancy offering integrated planning and architectural services, PlanArch Design Ltd operates from our own offices converted in 1994 from a former terrace of cottages in the Bishop Auckland Conservation Area. We work regionally and nationally on planning and architectural schemes, with projects ranging from home extensions to major housing developments; designs for bespoke dwellings to work in the commercial, education and retail sectors; as well as providing the full spectrum of planning consultancy services- Expert Town Planning Consultants - Award Winning Design Team - 3D Design & Modelling - Friendly Professional Service Projects undertaken include hotels and licensed premises; community and sports buildings; nursing and health care buildings; industrial units; commercial and retail premises; education facilities; residential schemes and individual houses; as well as work involving listed buildings and development in Conservation Areas. The value of projects with which we have been involved has ranged from under up to Planning work includes the negotiation of difficult or sensitive planning applications, preparation of development briefs and feasibility studies, submissions in connection with retail and other major developments and assessing their implications through impact assessments, involvement in the preparation of master plans, conducting planning appeals and obtaining certificates of lawful use. The majority of projects undertaken are located in an area covering Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Co Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire, although we do undertake projects further afield at the request of clients, current examples being in West Sussex and South Yorkshire.
