Braavos GmbH is an independent engineering company founded in 2015, specialized in high voltage cable systems. Our services include Project Management : support or completely manage your power cable project Engineering : engineering of MV and HV cable systems and substation designs Cable Rating : ampacity calculations based on relevant IEC standards or FEM Studies : technical studies and due diligence on transmission infrastructure Electromagnetic Fields : calculations of EMF, corona and noise Training : individual training courses, specialized on HV cable system engineering Braavos developed and distributes the web-based cable-calculation platform With cableizer one can model high voltage cables and calculate the ampacity of the cables buried or in air. Cableizer uses calculation methods based on IEC 60287 but is enhanced with methods from various technical papers and books. Cableizer uses the general case and allows the user to calculated multiple systems consisting of different cables with different loads and even different frequencies. You could for example calculate in one laying arrangement DC cables next to 132 kV single core cables and 20 kV threecore cables in a pipe. Cableizer is under developement and will include cables in tunnels, cable crossing and magnetic field calculations in the near future. Stay tuned.
