Brain Abilitiez (The A to Z of abilities) An introduction into our world: 1) Brain performance can be improved. The brain is like a muscle, it can be trained to be stronger, improve performance and overcome skill deficiencies. Through neuroplasticity, the brain can forge new connections. We take advantage of this by targeted exercises, which target different areas of intelligence. This enables one to think faster, learn easier, and perform better. Every skill is learnable and trainable. This destroys all of the old myths such as intelligence is fixed and cannot be enhanced. Or you cannot improve cognitive performance due to age or other labels. This also applies to labels such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADD, ADHD, and so on. However, we prefer not to label, instead, we focus on what can be done in order to succeed. 2) Cognitive ability can be measured by booking an assessment. If we were to break down the core skills the brain uses to navigate life, it would be broken down into these 7 cognitive skills-Attention -Processing Speed -Working Memory -Auditory Processing -Visual Processing -Long-term Memory -Logic & Reasoning When it comes to life, you are basically your cognitive profile. How good each of these skills are will translate into every aspect of your life. Including your "favourite subject" at school, whether you are good at reading, career choices, and even relationships. Booking an assessment enables us to measure your cognitive skills, and help us understand where you are in terms of learning ability and performance. 3) Our training improves cognitive ability. Our brain training programs last a minimum of 12 weeks. This gives us enough time to wire in skill gains at the cognitive level. Our average results are a 3 year gain in ability for children.(Age 7 and above). For adults (Age 18 and above) we average a 10 percentile gain across all cognitive skills.
