Brandes Aggregates was formed in 1965 in response to demands from the city of Sault Ste. Marie and its steel and transportation industries.With the industrial revolution taking place across North America, the rise of steel demand and the upswing of the economy was allowing the small Northern town to prosper. Brandes decided to form as the large demand for construction and landscape aggregates and construction services grew. The gravel deposits in the quarries were proven to be very high-quality aggregate and stone which resulted in Brandes has been able to supply aggregate for concrete and asphalt producers for over 50+ years and has developed a reputation for quality supplier products.
