Brasoil is a privately held oil and gas company engaged in the production, development and exploration of oil and gas in Brazil. It has a balanced portfolio of assets that includes a producing gas field, undeveloped oil and gas projects and highly prospective exploration acreage. Brasoil’s headquarters are in the centre of Rio de Janeiro, the oil and gas capital of Brazil. The Company has been active in the country since 2006 and has developed strong operating ties with its partners, including Petrobras, Queiroz Galvão and Norse Energy. Brasoil is well positioned to grow its asset base in Brazil. It is an approved operator for all onshore basins and an accredited partner for all offshore opportunities, including those in deepwater. It has interests in one of the largest and most important gas fields in Brazil as well as a nearby gas development project. Brasoil also has interests in two shallow-water light-gravity crude oil development projects in the highly prolific Santos basin. Supplementing those properties, the Company was also successful in acquiring high potential Santos offshore exploration blocks in 2007 during the ninth annual auction in Brasil. Brasoil is looking to participate in further rounds of acreage bidding, to diversify it’s current portfolio through farm-ins and swaps, to participate in future exploration in Brazil and to further develop it’s existing oil and gas projects.
