The Great Southern Employment Development Committee (GSEDC) is one of the Great Southern's longest standing Not-for-Profit organisations. First formed in 1987, the GSEDC has, to date, delivered multiple programs in partnership with Government and community groups and continues to strive for continuous improvement and innovation in all it delivers. In 2018 the GSEDC began trading as Breakthru WA. In 2021 Breakthru WA, in collaboration with the Albany Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Worklink WA, opened. Albany iHub. A project by Innovate Albany, and proudly supported by the Dept of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
