BrightLights conducts fraud audits and monitoring for professional athletes to ensure the people entrusted with their finances have the athletes best interests at heart. BrightLights services include a risk questionnaire to assess an athlete's financial risk followed by a consultation to discuss the results. Based on the risk score, BrightLights may recommend an examination of your investments and/or banking activity for potentially fraudulent or abusive activity. The examination will then be summarized in a report. BrightLights' Founder, David Byrne, spent over a decade working as a financial advisor and a financial regulator. With this experience on both sides of the aisle, it became clear that money is king and individuals are not adequately protected. BrightLights was founded in response to the statistics, articles, documentaries, and profiles of athletes cheated out of their money. Professional athletes are essentially their own corporation with agents, financial advisors, business managers, lawyers, accountants, friends and family, corporate sponsors, contracts, public relations, and social media - but where is their compliance department?
