Bringing Smiles Foundation (BSF) is a child protection organization based in Kenya, working to end child sexual assault and support survivors through prevention, response, and advocacy. Our approach is survivor-centered, data-driven, community-rooted, and evidence-based — ensuring that every action we take is grounded in the lived realities of children, families, and communities. BSF is committed to building a Kenya where every child grows up safe, informed, and empowered. We translate research into practical action, bridging the gap between community experience and systemic reform. Our programs focus on: Prevention & Awareness: Educating communities to challenge silence, stigma, and harmful norms. Survivor Support & Referrals: Providing survivors with access to psychosocial care, legal guidance, and protection pathways. Research & Data for Action: Generating and applying local evidence to strengthen policies, programs, and protection systems. Community Engagement: Working with parents, teachers, local leaders, and government actors to co-create safer environments for children. Beyond community programs, BSF plays an active role in advocacy, systems strengthening, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. We engage with government agencies, schools, healthcare providers, and other organizations to promote accountability, ensure child protection standards, and build sustainable networks of care. Our work is guided by values of dignity, integrity, transparency, and survivor voice — ensuring that protection is never charity, but justice. Starting in Mathare, BSF is developing a scalable, nationwide model for community-based child protection — one that integrates data, justice, and dignity into every level of response and prevention. Our vision is a Kenya where no child lives in fear or silence, and where every survivor’s voice leads to meaningful change.
