Brisbane German Week

October is a significant month for the Germans! Not only is it the time for the German National Day celebrations but also for infamous Oktoberfestivities! 🤍🥨 From 1 to 16 October this year, we will showcase Brisbane's educational, scientific, economic, political and cultural connections to Germany, partnering with schools, universities, businesses and a number of significant organisations, many with an affiliation to Germany. Germans began to settle in Australia from 1838, prominently settling in South Australia and Queensland, which is now the second-largest and third-most populous state in the Commonwealth of Australia. Around Germans call Queensland Home! Germany has a reputation for its highly performing economy, science, excellent research and education as well as sports and its diverse cultural scene while ensuring principles of quality, innovation and sustainability. Despite being 1⃣0⃣0⃣0⃣'s of kilometres apart, Australia and Germany share many of these traits.
