Broad Community Connections

Broad Community Connections is a non-profit, community development organization devoted to revitalizing the Broad Street as a vibrant, equitable, and inclusive commercial corridor by promoting the health and economic, residential, and cultural development of its diverse surrounding neighborhoods. We work to build community capacity and address structural challenges on the historic Broad Street corridor, which runs through several of the city’s most vibrant and culture-bearing neighborhoods, including the Tremé, Mid-City and Lower Mid-City, Faubourg St. John, and the 7th Ward. BCC utilizes three broad strategies to achieve our mission: we convene partners and community members to build capacity and encourage accountability; we develop and lead high-impact direct programming; and we are thought-leaders on a range of policy and advocacy fronts for issues that affect the Broad Street neighborhoods and communities like them throughout New Orleans.
