Broggi 1818

Our history started in 1818 in Milan, in a craftsman’s workshop; since then, we have not ceased to combine respect for tradition with innovations in lines and materials, following in the wake of the prestigious silversmith heritage distinguishing ourselves and, at the same time, paying special attention to the evolution of taste and current trends. Our most important steps: • In 1818 Gaetano Broggi opened in Milan an exclusively craftsman workshop for the manufacturing of cutlery, hollowware and silver sacred objects. • In 1860 the first automation for silver and gold plating processes was introduced, together with lathes and polishing machines, with a further progressive processes automation and wide scale production. • In 1950 the range of products was completed also with steel working: Broggi stainless steel cutlery was born. • Since 1993, Broggi 1818 has been part of ABERT group, which is market leader in Italy in the cutlery and tableware sector. • Today, our offices are in Passirano, near Brescia, where, with 200 employees, we work in a mq2 covered area factory, with new technologies and automatic warehouses.
