Brooklyn Charm opened its storefront in 2010 in the heart of the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, NY. It also operates pop up booths in various New York arts-and-crafts festivals and markets throughout the year. A combination of metals, charms, and visionary thinking allowed Brooklyn Charm to reimagine itself from an internet supply business to an interactive jewelry store. Over the last three years, the Williamsburg business has been featured in television and print media because of its unique method of asking patrons to design and build their own jewelry. The staff members help customers pick through the vast array of chains and charms to create custom one-of-a-kind pieces. The store also offers many exceptional hand-made accessories and hosts jewelry-making classes often. A large portion of the store is dedicated to rare materials found nowhere else in New York, such as: taxidermy, rare gemstones, materials and oddities from around the world, as well as vintage dead stock materials that are no longer in production. There is an implied guarantee at Brooklyn Charm: customers will leave with a completely customized piece of jewelry.
