It is through this commitment to excellence that Brown Surgical Associates offers 15 surgical specialties to meet the surgical needs of our patients. Our surgeons utilize the most advanced surgical technology and techniques. They are nationally and internationally recognized for their expertise in specialized areas of surgery. All Brown Surgical Associates surgeons are on the teaching staff of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. All surgeons are Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery. As of 2020 BSA has grown to over 50 surgeons and greater than 30 nurse practitioners and physician assistants on staff. Our providers provide multispecialty surgical services across the age spectrum. We have 13 clinical office locations across Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, most recently opening an office in East Greenwich to expand and meet the geographic demands of our patients in the West Bay and South County area. Our surgeons are affiliated with most of the hospitals in the state of Rhode Island and several in Massachusetts. As an organization, we continually look for opportunities to expand our reach and provide convenient locations and accessibility to our patients. We have board-certified surgeons in Adult and Adolescent Bariatric, Breast, Colorectal, Endocrine, Fetal, General, Thoracic, Transplant, Surgical Nutrition, Surgical Oncology, Vascular, and Pediatrics who provide cutting-edge care. Our Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Burn Care Surgeons are always at the ready at Rhode Island’s only American College of Surgeons verified Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and the state’s only American Burn Association verified Burn Center for both adult and pediatric
