Brugal began as a family business, but with each generation, our company has grown into an extended, international family: a family of experts committed to continuing our legacy and propelling the craft of our treasured rum into the future. In 2008 we joined Edrington, which allowed us to grow and expand our network. Today, Brugal is market leader for rum in the Dominican Republic and is present in key markets including the United States, Mexico and Europe. While Brugal now reaches the far corners of the earth, our roots remain just as important to us as they did when our company began. Every step of the rum making process from the cultivation of raw ingredients to the bottling of our precious spirit takes place right here on Dominican soil.
