Created in 1984 as a development bank, BTL became a universal bank on October 20, 2005, offering all the products and services offered by Tunisian commercial banks, while capitalizing on its extensive experience in foreign trade financing (in Tunisian dinar and foreign currencies). Over the past few years, BTL has successfully implemented a strategic development plan that has enabled it to position itself as a commercial bank with a regional dimension, serving Tunisian operators on both the local and international markets. BTL’s commercial strategy is based on a diversified range of banking products and services, tailored to the specific needs and expectations of its customers. Since its creation in 1984, and unlike other development banks set up at the time, BTL has been authorized to finance foreign trade. The Bank has thus developed considerable expertise in supporting Tunisian exporters and importers doing business not only with Libya, but also with the rest of the world.
