Bucket List Assistant encompasses two metaphors. A Bucket List is a list of goals and dreams you’d like to achieve before you pass on from this world, or “kick the bucket.” The phrase became popular after the movie The Bucket List came out in 2007. The concept of filling your bucket and the buckets of others is another metaphor that has become more popular after the 2004 release of the NY Times Bestseller, How Full is Your Bucket? The bucket symbolizes a person’s state of well-being and sense of self. Filling someone’s bucket represents positive actions to make them feel loved and respected (whereas dipping from someone’s bucket tries to belittle them).
