Build Smart is a Rwanda-based firm specializing in architectural, engineering, and technical consultancy services, with a strong focus on community-driven and affordable housing solutions. We build on over a decade of hands-on experience from our team, who have worked extensively on both the supply and demand sides of affordable housing across Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (South Kivu). Our multidisciplinary experts bring deep regional insight, practical field experience, and strong local partnerships to every project. This enables us to deliver context-specific, sustainable, and scalable solutions that respond to real community needs while meeting technical and regulatory standards. We currently support a diverse portfolio of donor-funded programs and private sector projects, providing services that range from planning and design to engineering, technical advisory, and project implementation support.
