After years of helping my father in law with his small portable sawmill business with branding and marketing advice, I noticed that the field is grossly underserved. As I looked around my house, I noticed that my bed, my dining room table, my children's bunk bed were made with trees planted over 50 years ago by my wife's grandfather on their property and created into furniture by her own father. Those pieces will be in my family for generations. That's an amazing story that I wanted to share with the general public. That is only possible through the work of wood professionals. After talking with over 50 businesses, they all said that they wanted more awareness. The first thing I created was an Instagram account, then a podcast, and I started building a community of urban lumber, sawmill, and woodworking companies. Right now there are over followers. If you're a woodworker, tree service, hardwood flooring, and sawmill professional you're an extremely passionate person and care about good quality products. Acres of Timber does branding, lead generation, facebook ads, consulting, speaking, and workshops to empower brands to build a community and following to increase profits. Since we've started we've worked with a handful of clients such as the largest sawmill company in the world, the largest chainsaw accessory company, and lead the first ever Urban Lumber Summit.
