Building Wings empowers special educators with comprehensive, research-based literacy curricula tailored for K–12 students with autism and complex learning needs. Our mission is to help every student access meaningful, age-respectful learning experiences—while giving educators time-saving, easy-to-implement resources that elevate instruction across grade levels. Our Core Solutions: Readtopia® A dynamic, online comprehensive literacy curriculum designed for students in grades 3 through high school+. Built on Don Johnston’s legacy Start-to-Finish series, Readtopia integrates graphic novels, documentary-style videos, and rich informational texts to engage diverse learners. The curriculum spans ELA, Math, Social Studies, Life Skills, and Science, and includes 26 full instructional units, complete with detailed teacher guides and adaptive modules for emergent learners. ReadtopiaGO™ Built for PreK to Grade 3 learners, ReadtopiaGO provides a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum rooted in the Science of Reading. Daily instruction is organized around shared reading and writing, phonics, alphabet knowledge, independent practice, and choice-based activities. It’s designed to foster literacy growth in young learners through engaging, supportive, and structured learning routines. News Currents News Currents brings current events to life in the classroom with weekly, age-appropriate news stories designed to spark critical thinking and discussion. Ideal for diverse learners, the platform supports comprehension and civic engagement while promoting media literacy through differentiated content and guided instructional materials.
