Burel Mountain Hotels

Burel Mountain Hotels is tourism project from Serra da Estrela with 2 hotels - Casa de São Lourenço and Casa das Penhas Douradas. Casa das Penhas Douradas, Burel Expedition Hotel** has opened in 2006 and has 17 rooms. It is a boutique hotel, located at 1500m high and counts with a unique relationship with the surrounding nature. Casa de São Lourenço, Burel Panorama has opened in 2018 and has 20 rooms. It is a member of Design Hotels, located at 1250m high (just 4km away from Casa das Penhas Douradas) and counts with unique views of the Zêzere Glacial Valley. It was one of the first four Pousadas de Portugal, that opened in 1948, and the firs 5-star hotel in the region. Casa de São Lourenço was awarded several times, such as: Prémio Nacional de Turismo 2021; 2022 and 2021 Chave de Prata Boa Cama, Boa Mesa.
