Bury Gp Federation

Bury GP Federation is a company owned by the GP practices in Bury and was created to enhance the delivery of health and care services to our local population. At present we have 24 of the town’s 25 General Practices in membership, covering 96% of the people living in Bury. We believe that by coming together in our Federation we can better develop skills and consistency not traditionally available in General Practice to deliver a wider range of services to our community. Many of the pressures on today’s NHS can be reduced through providing more high quality, consistent and joined up services in the community, nearer to where patients live. General Practice is ideally placed to lead this community-based provision and GP federations allow a platform for these services to be provided consistently and at the right scale.
