Malaria alongside other parasite related diseases are taking several lives within our communities. We also hear of flooded areas as a result of blocked drainage systems. Money which should have been used to address this health and societal problems is pushed again to another more important environmental issue that is Global Warming. My community still contributes to this environmental crisis by cutting of trees and using fuel wood which produces green house gases. I am Ngu Justin Blaise who is currently working on a project to recycle waste to produce bio-gas and make bricks from plastics and sand. My project is aimed at creating a waste management firm which provides waste management solutions where we will provide a better and cheaper way of collecting, treating and recycling waste to produce plastic bricks as stated above, bio fuel and organic manure which we shall again provide to these valued customers at very cheap rates. This bio fuel will help crop the reliance on fuel wood and also can be used to produce cheap electricity for other activities. Bamenda which is my target community has a population of roughly people produces 120 to 160 tonnes of waste daily and only about 20 to 30 tonnes is collected although it is later dumped in the Mezam River flood plane which is just extending the environmental problem to a later date. The rest of the waste is illegally disposed. We are coming in now not only to clean our environment but to recycle and produce useful energy from this waste. We at BushEenergy have successfully produced bio fuels from organic waste and have also successfully prduced bricks from plastics and sand. We at BushEnergy will wish to get more service vans and recruit a few more individuals to expand collection and get state-of-the-art machinery to convert the trash into energy with more efficiency.
