Special Events Throughout the year, we arrange for some great events including Christmas in July, corporate functions & Christmas parties. Senior Lunches Our morning tea & scones, lunch enjoying the wonderful live music singing along to some of our old time favourites, is a wonderful way to celebrate Golden Oldies tunes with friends. Elegant Weddings If you are arranging a wedding and looking for a wedding venue with a difference for either a formal or informal ceremony, we invite you to consider allowing us to share your special day. Our function venue is located around a half an hour’s drive from Newcastle and just about five minutes off the northern end of the F3 Freeway. Buttai Barn is an old fashioned Australian bush barn with a great country atmosphere, delicious tucker and good old live Aussie music. Our normal trading hours are 6.30pm – 11.30pm, every Friday and Saturday night.
