Buxton Mineradora is developing one of Brazil’s most strategically located graphite projects, in Ceará and just 93 miles from the Port of Pecém — one of the fastest export routes to the United States and Europe. With licensed operations and a near-surface, open-pit profile, the project offers high purity, low cost and meaningful scalability. Our deposits contain an estimated 6 million tons of high-quality graphite, with ongoing work toward resource certification. Bench tests with leading Brazilian institutions show excellent chemical grade, strong recovery rates, and multiple fractions, including material suitable for purification to 99%+ carbon, the standard for lithium-ion battery anodes. Buxton is positioned to become a competitive non-Chinese graphite supplier at a pivotal moment for global battery and energy-transition markets. As the U.S. and EU diversify critical minerals, Brazil emerges as a stable, high-capacity alternative. BYD’s upstream moves in the region underscore the strategic relevance of this graphite corridor. Proximity to the Pecém Export Processing Zone (ZPE) provides advantages such as tax suspension, FX flexibility, simplified customs and integration with deep-water terminals. Combined with favorable mining conditions, reliable logistics and existing energy infrastructure, Buxton operates with a structurally lower cost base than comparable Western projects. We serve multiple industries — EV batteries and anode materials, energy storage, refractories, steel, lubricants, thermal insulators, agriculture and other applications requiring high-quality graphite.
