BVL Venezia is a new luxury velvet handbag brand born from Giulia Bevilacqua’s love for traditions, in order to maintain, expand and articulate a family heritage alive for centuries: the weaving of silk velvet in Venice. Giulia Bevilacqua is the latest generation of Bevilacqua family, weavers from the sixteenth century. She has grown up in the midst of ancient looms and precious fabrics and after some experience in the fashion sector, in 2016 she created her own brand of bags BVL Venezia, using the renowned velvets of Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua. The intuition to see fabrics designed for furnishing important residences, museums and churches, combined with quality leather, hand-embroidered stones assembled by skilful local artisans, has led to the realization of a luxury item with a glamorous style, entirely Made in Italy.
