Byverkstedet

Byverkstedet works with placemaking through design, craftsmanship, and architecture. Together, we involve users and run processes that create sustainable solutions for the city’s people and environment. Together with public and private clients, local actors, and volunteers, we have completed more than 50 projects and engaged thousands of residents since 2013. Grounded in participation, testing, and piloting, we create new concepts and inspire fresh thinking in urban development. By involving users and diverse stakeholders from start to finish, we foster creativity, collaboration, and a sense of ownership. We believe in democratic city-making, where everyone can influence and drive change. We have specialist expertise in children’s and young people’s participation, ensuring they have opportunities for involvement, creative expression, and accomplishment.
