Christine Freeman, a native of Lansing, Michigan, is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she pursued studies that bridged her passions for design, art history, and music. Her diverse background includes hands-on experiences in spinning, weaving, pottery, welding, and painting—each of which informs and enriches her design approach. These varied skills reflect her deep appreciation for craftsmanship, vintage treasures, and compelling works of art. In 1988, Christine embarked on her creative professional journey by founding CA Concepts, a company dedicated to bringing her artistic vision to life. The name "CA Concepts" embodies her philosophy:"ca" for Christine Ann, a nod to her personal touch;"concepts" as the spark for abstract ideas, inventions, and thoughtful plans; and the organic process of growth and refinement that culminates in "good design." Starting a new project can often feel overwhelming, but Christine’s expertise offers clarity.
