Nowadays, CABDO is known as an app-based on-demand service platform for ride-hailing as well as food ordering (CABDO Food) and is available in Dortmund, Essen, Bochum & Hagen. The company´s history is deeply rooted in the city of Dortmund. More precisely, it is based on a more than 20 year old one-man business operating mainly in the local taxi sector which became the leading taxi company in Dortmund over time. Inspired by the rapid changes in the German mobility market, CABDO was founded in 2017 in order to facilitate the digital booking as well as transportation via a mobile application. After setting the city of Dortmund in motion, CABDO expanded into Essen, Bochum & Hagen as well as became the first provider in the Ruhr Valley to offer on-demand online booking of electric vehicles for passenger transport. The journey from a local taxi company to the leading mobility platform for passenger transport in the Ruhr Valley is not over yet.
