The ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) began its journey in 1973. It is now home to engineering institutions from its 10 member countries who share the common goal of promoting goodwill and mutual understanding to establish and develop an ASEAN baseline standard for the engineering profession and to facilitate the mobility of ASEAN engineers. As a member of AFEO, The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia or PII) has the honor this year to host CAFEO37. We would like to utilize this momentum to acknowledge ASEAN engineers as the beacon of sustainable development. This conference will bring together the A-Listers of ASEAN engineering to share knowledge and ideas to enhance connectivity, improve equitability and foster greater prosperity for the region. CAFEO37 is a place where great minds, ideas and knowledge come together. I am confident that this will be an important milestone to our future together. Welcome to CAFEO 37.
