CAffe-DALí imports its beans directly from growers whose family farms have been passed down from generation to generation. These coffee plantations produce the very best beans located at to plus meters above sea level. The high altitude ensures a slow and even ripening of the bean and produces a strictly hard bean (SHB) and strictly high grown (SHG) bean loaded with flavor. Buying directly and surpassing the huge coffee consortiums allows CAffe-DALí access to the very best beans and promotes better than Fair Trade Practices that the coffee consortiums use to keep the prices of beans to growers down, and forces the growers to sell lower quality beans. Instead, CAffe-DALí promotes Direct Trade Practices, which insure that the growers we buy from make a fair profit on their highest quality beans. We use only the very highest quality 100% Arabica coffee beans picked at the height of ripeness, that are naturally processed, and sun dried, that come from a variety of major growing regions of Central and South America, East Africa and other Pacific Rim coffee producing countries. The trees are of the variety Arabica Bourbon; the plantations are all under shade trees and production practices are all; in accordance to ecological, social conscience, and specialty coffee considerations.
