Cairina Inc. is a Roanoke VA based startup company that provides image analysis, modeling, and visualization solutions for personalized medicine applications initially focusing on automated surgical planning for cancer treatment and outcome optimization for individuals with aggressive gliomas. The goal of the company is to use standard contrast enhanced MRIs in order to predict tumor invasion, giving surgeons more precise regions to remove, and increasing the lifespan of the patient after surgery. This technology to accurately deliver drugs through CED, or other delivery methods, may provide diagnostic or prognostic information, and will give clinicians physics-based information on how best to treat an individual patient.
