Since childhood, as a little girl, Irene Herbst, baker and founder of CakedLA spent hours in a small South Los Angeles kitchen learning the ropes of how to bake with her mother Imelda. She started out making Filipino gourmet treats for her family parties. Herbst, as an artistic entrepreneur has a diverse background from web design to pastry design. As a part-time designer pastry chef, Herbst continues to strive to bring out her unique ingredients and hand-crafted cake pops.
