Cal Poly Simulation Laboratory

Cal Poly Simulation Laboratory is a group of students working on projects involving modeling and simulation of aerospace systems. Our activities encompass three main areas- Design, build and test systems to determine and control the attitude of software and hardware simulations of spacecraft- Students develop skills in several modeling and simulation techniques, such as numerical, Monte Carlo, biomimetic, and agent-based simulations, using diverse coding tools and languages- Collaboration on position papers, blogs, and social media content to promote peaceful, sustainable, and socially just applications of space and space-based technologies. By engaging in hands-on activities, students gain practical experience in modeling, simulation, design, build and test of spacecraft navigation systems. Students also participate in panel sessions, workshops, and forums centered on responsible space utilization and technology.
