Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation

Launched in 2001, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation honors the life and memory of the Ripken family patriarch, long-time mentor and coach, Cal Ripken, Sr. Since 2001, we have created youth development programs and outdoor recreational spaces that have impacted over at-risk youth with the help of over youth mentors, coaches, teachers, and law enforcement volunteers. Our mission is to continue to help strengthen America’s most underserved and distressed communities by supporting and advocating for children, building Youth Development Parks, partnering with law enforcement and youth service agencies, and addressing community needs including STEM education through our national program initiatives. The Foundation provides opportunities for kids to play in safe environment, live healthy lifestyles, gain access to STEM education, and learn to make productive choices for their futures. We owe our success to our dedicated national Board of Directors, our corporate, foundation, individual, state, and federal sponsors, and our youth partners who help us to impact 1.4 million at-risk youth across the country each year.
