Established in 1980 with the publication of Street Survival: Tactics for Armed Encounters, the company revolutionized law enforcement training by introducing realistic tactics and personal narratives through this best-selling textbook. This seminal work led to the creation of the Street Survival Seminar, a multi-day training program which quickly became a cornerstone in officer tactical training across the US. Calibre Press offers a diverse and timely array of courses that address critical topics including patrol tactics and officer safety, de-escalation techniques, strategic communication, leadership development, emotional wellness, and implicit bias. Our curriculum is continually updated to reflect current events, new research findings, and changes in case law, ensuring that training remains relevant and effective. Calibre instructs more than officers through 300 courses annually, offered both live in-person and online.
