INTELLIGENT SMARTPHONE COMMUNICATIONS FOR CLINICAL ENVIRONMENTS CallMeSmart is an context sensitive smartphone communications system for high data security and operationally complex working environments such as hospitals and clinics. CallMeSmart AS is a start-up company from Norinnova Technology Transfer AS and the University Hospital of Northern Norway (UNN), based in Tromsø. The system has been developed through research at the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research (NSE) since 2007. Through research we know that the combination of multitasking and interruptions is one of the major sources of stress in the clinical working environment and of medical faults. CallMeSmart is built upon an understanding of these clinical challenges and uses a context data framework to enhance reachability and decreases the number of interruptions experienced by clinicians.
