This camp, which will be located in the beautiful hill country of central Texas, will offer a retreat-like environment for families of children with scleroderma and will be available year-round. How we began. Shannon Carnline, known as Shannie to her friends and family, is a 15 year-old who was diagnosed with scleroderma (morphea) in 2008. Her dream has been to start a camp for other kids who were also suffering from this autoimmune disease. The name - Camp Diasozo - is taken from the ancient Greek word "diasozo" which means "to be made whole".
