Canberra Reworked

Canberra Reworked supports return-to-work caregivers so that they can return to meaningful work, recognising their paid and unpaid skills. Returning to work after a break often means that mums face unexpected challenges and barriers. Depending on the length of time out of the workforce, previous skills are often unrecognised. Unpaid skills are also often unrecognised, meaning their resumes are often overlooked when applying for roles. Balancing a family life requires flexibility; yet true flexibility is difficult to find. As mums contemplate returning to work after a career break, sometimes after many years, the transition can be difficult emotionally while balancing family life, understanding their capacity and dealing with their confidence levels. Canberra Reworked is a place for mums to come together to solve these challenges. We offer a variety of support: mentoring, coaching, supporting, upskilling, resume building and job searching. We also offer on-the-job training through the Reworked Hub. The Hub is an outsourcing centre, a place for work-from-home mums to work with others and feel supported, and a one-stop shop where mums looking for work can find all the information they need. Canberra Reworked seeks to address a variety of challenges, with the goal of mums positively transition to the workforce and feeling supported.
