Canine Assisted Learning

Canine Assisted Learning are at the forefront of canine assisted interventions and school dog training programmes across the UK Interventions - We offer a bespoke consultancy service to suit the needs of your students, working in a flexible, nurturing and therapeutic way. We will work with you to create a package focussed on areas identified for each student. Consultancy interventions include: Emotional and behavioural regulation Social anxiety Literacy support General classroom support Exam support Improve self-esteem and confidence Talking therapies The CAL school dog training programme is designed for educational establishments that would like one of their members of staff to work with their own dog to become and become an effective canine assisted intervention team. Our ongoing training programme for schools provides a safe and effective means for animal assisted interventions in school. The programme not only focuses on the training of the dog but of the school handler too. This ensures all necessary health and safety considerations are met: this includes understanding of complex canine behaviour in a learning environment, safe and effective implementation of interventions and crucially, the welfare and safety of the dog, children and everyone involved with the programme.
