Medicinal use of marijuana is rapidly gaining acceptance as viable treatments to alleviate symptoms associated with chronic disease and as a primary treatment for disease. Currently growing marijuana and the production and distribution of medicinal products is not standardized or coordinated. FDA approval for any cannabinoid product or medical indication remains a future consideration. In this regulatory void, the quality of cannabis products and the determination of appropriate dose and perceptions of product efficacy are evaluated subjectively. In the next few years, medical marijuana and cannabinoid products will have the public demand that will drive policy toward broadly recognizing the significant therapeutic potential cannabis can have in human disease management. With Federal approval, the industry has multi billion dollar potential. A critical requirement for this significant opportunity is that cannabis products achieve the same credibility of testing and validation that is the standard for bringing new drugs to market in the Pharmaceutical industry and for assurance of drug quality, consistency and potency. Cannametrix seeks to satisfy this unmet need using scientific-based metrics in product quality and consistence testing and establish a leadership position in this burgeoning global industry. CannaMetrix will provide brand validation for biological and therapeutic consistency and potency using scientific criteria of biochemical and genetic endpoints in model cell testing systems. Cannametrix has a three pronged business objective:(1) provide a fee-for-service testing and validation resource of medicinal marijuana products that earns products the CM trade mark of testing quality assurance (2) become the industrial standard by marketing and publicizing to drive demand for products to earn the CM trade mark and (3) to achieve control in the industry such that the CM trademark is essential for any new product launch.
