Our team includes experienced growers and processors that bring a detailed understanding of the cannabis environment. We have over 20 carriers that provide coverage for the cannabis industry, many agencies lack the understanding of the cannabis environment and only have access to 2 or 3 carriers that will work with a cannabis business. As cannabis is relatively new within the insurance industry, carriers and coverages are constantly changing. Over the past 12 months we have found that carriers that were very competitive last year have new rates that in some cases have doubled the premium. Each month we search for new cannabis markets, and compare them to the carriers we already have, this allows us to provide the most cost-effective coverage for our insureds. Currently we have a carrier who offers General Liability coverage for $503.00 annually plus taxes and fees. In addition, we have a carrier that offers Product Liability as low as $750.00 annually plus taxes and fees. Please keep in mind that the annual premium of $750.00, does not apply to everyone, it is based on your gross sales and the type of business you have. Product Liability rates will vary depending on your business, generally the premium for a Grower will be less expensive than a Retailer, and a Manufacture will have a higher rate than Growers and Retailers. Due to the relationships, we have with our carriers we can normally provide a quote within 24 hours. For larger accounts, it may take 2 to 3 days, but normally less than a week. Questions?
