Canopy Philadelphia

At the center of East Market, Canopy Philadelphia is a restored landmark that brings new life to the historic Stephen Girard Building, originally constructed in 1896. Thoughtfully reimagined for today, the hotel blends historic architecture, contemporary design, and locally inspired art to create a place that feels both rooted and welcoming. Often considered the living room of the neighborhood, Canopy Philadelphia offers inviting spaces to gather, linger, and connect. Canopy Central flows naturally into the outdoor patio and open-air courtyards of East Market—rare pockets of fresh air and calm in the heart of Center City. Located in Midtown Village, one of Philadelphia's most vibrant and walkable neighborhoods, the hotel places guests close to local restaurants, independent shops, cultural landmarks, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. From morning coffee runs to evening cocktails, the neighborhood unfolds just beyond our doors. Complimentary Canopy Bikes make it easy to explore everything from Historic Philadelphia to the city's thriving arts and dining scene. Every detail is designed with the neighborhood in mind, creating a stay that feels connected to the city and comfortable from the moment you arrive. Whether you're visiting for business, a weekend getaway, or a special event, Canopy Philadelphia serves as your landing place in the heart of the city. For meetings, celebrations, and gatherings, the hotel offers flexible event spaces for up to 100 guests, distinctive private rooms, and outdoor reception areas that bring people together in a setting that feels both polished and personal.
