Canvas Educational Organisation

Canvas is an organisation that seeks to develop and nurture students' political interest and their sense of activism and responsibility through the hosting of events such as Model UN conferences, Debate Rooms, Youth Parliaments, Research Training Seminars, Public Speaking Workshops, and more. Canvas recognises that much of the youth is left ignored in the political process of most countries, and that this leads to the exclusion of future citizens from global policymaking. We believe this is counterintuitive to progress. We have thus dedicated ourselves to developing ways for the youth to voice their opinions and ideas, and to making sure they are heard. We organise events where students and young people are given space to explore politics, activism, and advocacy, and then take their ideas directly to policymakers, allowing the youth to take part in true change-making. Our name represents the piece of parchment that has sparked revolutions throughout history. We have seen how the stroke of a paintbrush or a quill, and a sliver of an idea that doesn't fit with the status quo, can change the world. And that is what we aim to do, except with a microphone, a few loud words, and some great ideas- In accordance with our goals, we are dedicated towards intersectional outreach, and ensure all our activities involve the active participation of historically under-represented communities, including underprivileged, disabled, neurodivergent, and minority students. Canvas is a Not-For-Profit organisation and donates all proceeds towards charitable purposes.
