Cape Diamonds

Cape Diamonds is a local workshop for artisanal, bespoke, and handcrafted jewellery in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa. Leading specialists in bespoke, platinum engagement rings inspired by the mesmerising and diverse Cape Floral Kingdom found only in Southern Africa. Drawing on the Western Cape's natural splendour and beauty, our Fynbos Collection is exclusive to Cape Diamonds. We understand that purchasing a diamond engagement is as much an emotional and as it is a financial investment, so it's important to make an informed decision. Clients are advised to research the various types of diamonds and the 4 C's before making a purchase. We recommend using our diamond education page to avoid over-paying for diamonds in South Africa. Our studio is registered with The Jewellery Council of South Africa, and we have a recognised account with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). All GIA-certified diamonds sold by Cape Diamonds contain a unique serial number laser-etched onto the girdle of the gemstone, linking them to their unique certificate. Always be cautious of diamonds sold on the internet, as diamonds with no serial numbers can have fake certificates. The GIA certificate stipulates the diamond's clarity, colour, cut, shape, size and carat weight. Certain combinations of these characteristics determine the diamond's sparkling perfection, making the stone more desirable and valuable. When it comes to choosing your perfect engagement ring, Cape Diamonds offers the best value for your money and high-quality, GIA-certified diamonds set in locally inspired designs.
