Capelle Transports is originally a French haulage company, based close to the city of Nîmes in the southern French department of Gard. With more than 50 years experience in the haulage industry and a vast network of more than 900 employees, 500 trucks, 750 flat bed trailers and 24 depots situated throughout France, Capelle has risen to become one of the leading hauliers in the specialist transport industry. In March 2013, Capelle UK was established with the mission of back loading the Capelle trucks tipping in the UK every year to our main areas of activity, including France, Belgium and the northern regions of Spain. Prior to Capelle UK’s founding, Capelle Transports achieved a back load rate of 10%. However, with a new operating centre based in Lincoln and an experienced two-man team of employees, Capelle UK has now boosted this figure to over 90% after a period of just two years. After expanding into not only the agricultural and the earthmovers sectors, but also into the aeronautical sector, Capelle UK is now looking to obtain our own UK-based trucks in order to expand further into the British domestic market as well as the international market, and to continue to grow our varied customer base. The Capelle fleet includes not only conventional flat beds and extenders, but also semi low loaders and ramped trailers. Our extenders can reach up to 21.0m long and our semi low loaders can go as low as 0.45m, enabling us to easily transport abnormally high or long loads.
