In December 1993, Volkswagen of America purchased the store, renamed it Capistrano Volkswagen and managed the dealership's operations until June 1997, when Miles Brandon, the current owner, purchased the store from Volkswagen of America. Capistrano Volkswagen has been an industry leader in many ways, the first of which was when the New Beetles arrived.
