Like Amazon and Apple, Capital Estate Agents came from humble beginnings. In 1994, our founder Robert Tancred started the business in his parents’ spare room. He had nothing but a passion to do things better and to break the mould of ‘normal’ estate agency. In 2003, the business had grown enough to move into its current office. Robert and the team gave their absolute all to each client, to each sale, and built a fantastic reputation locally. We started our lettings service around this time, giving landlords a new option of incredible dedication to their property and their tenant, and the lettings side of the business grew quickly. In 2009, our success meant branching out to new areas and helping more people than ever before as we opened the Sidcup office. Over time we took on more members of the team who are still with us today. Around 5 years ago Robert’s son Jack joined the company and gave a new lease of life to the incredible work Robert was already doing. Taking tried and tested techniques, combined with with new methods, working to meet clients at their level, the office was revamped to become more approachable, the best technology the industry has to offer was integrated into everyday office life and agents took on a new relaxed uniform to reflect the current times. Here we are in the present, making partnerships with the very best out there, innovating and continually pushing for the best we can be - but still with that same passion, spirit and love for the work we’ve had since those days in the spare room. Robert is still working hard within the business, as involved as day one but with his son now at his side. We’re not sitting still.
