Capitol Operations founder, Hailey Arends, is an expert at overseeing the day-to-day functions of everything needed to run large firms, small businesses and political organizations. She has managed business operations for several DC based consulting firms and led the operations team for Tim Kaine’s successful bid for Senate in Virginia, as well as Governor Martin O’Malley’s Political Action Committees in Maryland. Before forming Capitol Operations, Hailey served as Budget Director and Interim Chief Financial Officer on Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign. She worked on the 2006 Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Independent Expenditure paid media operation, resulting in a Democratic Senate majority. The Capitol Operations team has managed accounting, compliance, human resources and operations for statewide campaigns and political action committees as well as several 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) interest groups and small businesses.
