Everyone know the cashew nut, no one knows the cashewfruit. The cashewfruit is on average 12-40 times bigger than the cashew nut and has a lot of vitamin C, antioxidants and minerals. It is a superfood. This makes it even more appaling that 99% of all edible cashewfruits, in total 125 million tons each year, get thrown away during production. This is because the cashewfruit is only usable up to 2 days after the harvest before it gets bad. It is mostly produced in west africa, brazil and south east asia. Those countries lack the infrastructure to process the cashewfruit to something more durable. Also the cashewfruit is an unknown product. We want to change that.
